  • Floor vote HR6694 was to be 2weeks ago, the collapse on the financial markets have distracted the attention of Washington
  • HR 6694 is not attached in the new bailout bill H.R. 3997, the Emergency Economic Stabilization Act of 2008
  • Budget estimate of HR6694, no cost to Federal Government for a reformed downpayment assistance program

  • 100,000 letters sent to support HR 6694
  • 200,000 calls made to support HR6694
  • 3,000 site visits to Congress
  • 320,000 families have been helped by the Nehemiah program
  • 1.5 billion in gift funds
